November Ridership Contest Results: Week 1

November Ridership Contest Weekly Update
For the week starting 11/1 - 11/7

Aspen Skiing Company and Sky Hotel of Aspen are partnering with Denver Bike Sharing during the month of November to help encourage Denver B-cycle members to ride as much as possible before the last day of the season on December 9th. The first week of our contest went great with everybody taking over 3,500 trips! The member who takes the most B-cycle trips between November 1st and December 9th will win a 2 day/2 night ski vacation for two in Aspen complete with lift tickets courtesy of Aspen Skiing Company and a hotel room from Sky Hotel!
 
All existing Denver B-cycle members have to do to be eligible is to get out and ride. All trips taken between now and December 9th 2 minutes or longer count toward the contest. We understand that when the weather gets cold and the days get shorter, it sometimes feels easier to jump in your car than on a B-cycle. We hope that the thought of a weekend trip to Aspen inspires you to hop on a B-cycle and see that cold weather and shorter days don't have to be so bad for biking. If you are a contender but not a winner, we have other prizes for you to win as well, such as Chipotle Gift Packs and Denver B-cycle memberships. The goal is for you to discover how easy it can be to ride a B-cycle even when the conditions seem less than inviting. Is riding in the cold easier than you thought? Has your membership expired, but you still want to compete for this prize valued at $800? You can rejoin Denver B-cycle or renew your B-cycle annual membership at a special price of $50 ($15 off), by logging onto www.denver.bcycle.com, clicking on the "Join Denver B-cycle" button, and entering the promo code NOVRIDE when prompted.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All trips 2 minutes or longer are eligible for the contest. However, we look at all the trips taken before we compile the leaderboard and do not count trips of less than 4 minutes between the same station.

Chipotle Contest: The first 50 members to take 20 trips will win a Denver B-cycle T-shirt and a Burrito Buck (good for one free burrito from Chipotle). So far we've had 23 people reach this threshold, so there are still 27 Prize packs available! Congrats to our winners you will be hearing from us via email this afternoon!

B-cycle membership giveaway: Each week everyone how takes 10 or more trips will be entered to win a Denver B-cycle members. This week we had 43 people take 10 or more trips to qualify for our weekly B-cycle membership drawing. Our winner this week is Will S! Congrats Will!

Prizes to look forward to: We still have 27 more Chipotle prize packs to give away! And everyone taking 10 trips or more by B-cycle next week will be entered into a drawing to win a free B-cycle membership, which can be given as a gift or used to renew your current membership.     I would love to hear more about what Sadik Khan has done and how you perceive her deertampnt's performance; I'm pretty unfamiliar with it. Any topical posts at FASLANYC or elsewhere I should read this weekend? Would love to hear about other urban / transit planners doing good work as well, maybe I should pull together a reading list on that.The picture is pretty sweet, can't say I had to dig too far for it though, it was right in the Fast Company story.
